As I said in my last entry there seems to be change in the wind for this year. And change is not all bad and in fact change can be good. My husband and I had been talking about buying a house but it had only been talk. On a nice Winter day though bored and wanting to do something I suggested that we drive around and see if there were any open houses or see what houses might be for sale. Saw a few houses and then went on the internet to see if there were any pictures and possible details. In the process came across a real estate agent which I contacted about the possibility of looking at a house we were interested in. To make a long story short although we did not buy that house we did find a house which had things I had always wanted in a house like a skylight in the bathroom. Things were meant to be because within a month of seeing the house we were moving in. I think that dreams do come true if we persist in following them. It does sometimes require action on our part. Sometimes it may even require that we step outside the box we have placed ourself in. Now my husband and I have a place which we can truly call home. No one can tell us we can not put holes in the wall or paint the walls whatever color we desire. There are times my husband can not remember things as a result of the Alzheimer but together we are growing closer. We are learning to cherish the moments we share and to work together as a team as we create our "love nest". Together we are turning a house into a home. In addition love has found a place to call home in our hearts and not even the devasting disease of Alzheimer can destroy that home. Spring...The Renewal Of Life - Monday, Mar. 21, 2005
